While this tea does contain Earl Grey it is decaffienated. This tea is a very special tea. In the 18th century and early 19th century. Many women were only known as "the daughter of", "the mother of", "the wife of", "the sister of". They were not given their own identities and if they were lucky they may be written down somewhere in a church ledger simply as Mrs. Smith, or Daugher of Daniel Smith. They are lost to time. However, we know they were here, they were here in the tens of thousands. They worked alongside the men, dying, growing, fighting, to creating this country that we live in today. While their names are lost, this tea is in honor of them. To give them a voice, to give them a purpose, so that they aren't forgotten. By making this tea they are kept alive in our memories, so that we can honor all of the women that this country is founded on. Like the other teas, I did my best to try and match the tea to the person and what I believe their personalities were like. This is one of the more complex and robust flavored teas. It's goal was to recreate the personalities of all the women of this time period, giving them their voices back once more.
