In the 18th century this would be considered a Liberty Tea because there is no real tea in it. Today we would simply call it an herbal tea. More than just the wife of Daniel Boone. Rebecca was a strong willed frontierswoman in her own right. Raising and losing several of her children during their move west. She worked hard to keep the family together and functioning while Daniel was gone most of the time. She helped care for not just the others that came west, but helped maintain the fort and all of the necessary aspects of frontier station life. Like many of the women of the 18th century she is religated to the back pages of history so that her husband can take center stage. Without her help, ability to not just care for the family but every aspect of their lives, he would not have been as well known today if it had not been for her. Like the other teas, I did my best to try and match the tea to the person and what I believe their personalities were like. Though simple in taste it packs a lot of flavor and punch.
