While this tea does contain actual tea in the form of Earl Grey, it is decaffeinated. Anne Bailey was a strong willed woman of the 18th century. After the death of her first husband during the French and Indian War, she was known to take part in campaings against various Native American Tribes. After her second marriage and the Revolutionary War started she continued working for the military, not just in campaigns, but as messenger between forts and frontier outposts. She was also known to bring gunpowder to the besieged Fort Lee. She was known for her tenacity, grit and strength. This tea is a strong powerful flavor and well suited for this remarkable and brave frontier hero. It is also named after a dear friend who has a close connection to Mad Anne, so it is my nod to her as well. Like the other teas, I did my best to try and match the tea to the person and what I believe their personalities were like.
